Therapist / Founder

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself.

I have been in the field of mental health since 2010. I am a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Social Work. My professional roles include being a school social worker providing mental health services to students with special needs, including IEP and 504 Plans. I have acted as a medical social worker in hospice care where I provided grief counseling, end of life planning, and family support. Currently, I continue to provide clinical therapy in a psychiatric/ behavioral health department where I provide clinical diagnostic, assessment, treatment planning and therapy.  My experience has allowed me to work with a wide population of clients that include children, adolescences, adults, couples and families.

Many of my clients  identify as BIPOC, Latinx, or LGBTQIA+. I strive to maintain cultural competency and training to provide inclusive therapy to all groups of people. Most of my clients struggle with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity, family problems, religious trauma or have a neurodiversity.

My experience has given me training, knowledge and understanding of how to work with clients who have a Neurodevelopmental Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD or other neurodiversity's

I also am trained in WPATH's standard of care to provide services for those clients struggling with their gender identity or require a gender mental health assessment for gender affirming procedures.

Additionally, I have been trained to treat trauma through the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) & Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also have training in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused  based therapy, and Mindfulness for other emotional and behavioral health concerns.

I believe in a mindful approach to therapy that considers a person's mind, body and spirit as important factors to achieving mental clarity and well-being.
